Dr. Lisa Fredenburgh is the founding director of the Fox Valley Orchestra Chorus and Fox Chamber Singers. Her professional work includes conducting and chorus-master appointments in opera, including North Carolina Opera and Capitol Opera Raleigh.

As a performer, she has sung leading operatic roles including Dorabella in Mozart’s Così fan tutte and The Secretary in Menotti’s The Consul, in addition to a wide range of oratorio and concert repertoire.

Her guest conducting and clinical work has included All-State Choirs in several states, along with masterclasses and conducting engagements in the Dominican Republic and Bolivia.

Aurora-based collaborative pianist and teacher working across opera, recitals, church music, community events, rehearsal, and performance.

Andy Maya received a Bachelor of Music degree from Aurora University and a Master of Music degree from Illinois State University.

He has accompanied operatic performances as well as vocal and instrumental recitals, including work with MIOpera on Die Fledermaus.

Andy works as a freelance pianist throughout the Chicago suburbs and provides music for Faith Lutheran Church and Our Savior’s Church in Aurora.

Kenneth “Ken” Martin works as a composer, arranger, conductor, editor, bass singer, and collaborative musical leader.

He attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and VanderCook College of Music. His compositions, arrangements, and practical editions are issued through Martin Music Editions.

Ken also serves as Music Coordinator for Grace Anglican Fellowship in Lake Forest. His Composer-in-Residence appointment places composition directly inside the rehearsal and performance life of Fox Chamber Singers.

The residency places new composition directly inside the rehearsal process. The score is not handed over from a distance; it is tested, heard, adjusted, embodied, and performed by the same community that helped bring it to life.
