Lisa’s philosophy

How the music becomes an experience.

The ensemble begins with distinct artists, then builds a shared musical path through close listening, thoughtful repertoire, and the human exchange of live performance.

“Chamber choirs depend upon the quality of each singer—their voice, heart, skill, and intricate listening.” Dr. Lisa Fredenburgh · Conductor / Director
Each gem Every piece is built differently. Harmony, melody, rhythm, or text may lead; the way those elements are crafted makes every composer and every work of art unique.
The path Smaller works give us the freedom to span centuries and genres—sometimes smoothly, sometimes jarringly—and to shape the journey an audience takes.
Community completes it A live acoustic concert cannot be replaced by a recording. Together, we recognize one another’s humanity and walk in the emotional footsteps of other eras.
